Hello everyone.
I'd like to take a few moments, while the board traffic is quite high, to make a few announcements about the Nominoichi.
The first point is: Tables N01 and N02 will be Staff Tables.
They will be closest to the entrance and if anyone has a problem or difficulty with any other buyer, seller, or even a staff member at the Nominoichi please come and tell us first. If you want to wait until after the event to post about problems here that's fine, it will help us plan next year, but once the Nominoichi is over we can't do anything about it this year. Also, if you need any help finding a table please ask us.
The second is about "Holds"
If a buyer and a seller have agreed to reserve any item for a time or price, that's a deal between them. The Nominoichi staff will not enforce any hold agreements. Buyers are allowed to only pay for what they want, and sellers can sell any allowable item to anyone, at any price they'd like. Therefore, should either side abrogate a hold agreement, the Nominoichi staff will not intervene.
The third is about the Fashion Swap.
This year, alongside the Nominoichi, will be the Anime North Fashion Swap. While selling costume clothing and accessories are allowed, the Nominoichi rules prohibit the selling of any fashion clothing and items at Nominoichi tables. Likewise, the Fashion Swap rules prohibit the selling of Nominoichi items at those tables. Fashion Swap staff members will be acting as literal "fashion police" at the Nominoichi to help enforce that these rules are adhered to.
If you suspect any table is NOT following these rules, or any other Nominoichi selling rule, (even if you are not sure) please come and tell us at the staff tables immediately.
Finally, after the Nominoichi, I ask that you please come back to this message board and post about your Nominoichi experience. Tell us about things we got wrong, and any ideas you have to make the event better next year. You could also point out things we got right, so we don't change them next year. Any comments, good or bad, can help us improve the Nominoichi experience for everyone in the future.
Thanks again, I look forward to meeting you on Friday Night! ;D
