Thanks. That part is an error. The Correct date is found on the main Nominoichi page and it's Sunday April 10th.
Although, I'm half tempted to keep the wrong date on the main page so all the idiots who won't read the rules and details will apply two days late!

Quick question Chris, in the sellers info, it states that J-Fashion items are now allowed on Nominoichi tables; does this mean that there is no longer going to be separate fashion swap tables?

That is correct. It was felt that merging the Fashion Swap into the Nominoichi would allow both Fashion sellers to offer Nominoichi goods (something they've requested) and allow Nominoichi sellers who have some Japanese fashion items the chance to sell them, without having to take an entire Fashion swap table. And at our end having one block of tables and one process to reserve them should be easier to manage than two. We are going to try it this way in 2016 and then asses how it went. And thanks for carefully reading the rules

I sincerely hope that everything goes smoothly as I think it's a great idea to merge them; I know some sellers usually have a fair deal of both and have had to choose between a fashion swap or nominoichi table in the past. Hopefully managing it will go smoothly for you too. Ahahaha, I have to so I don't goof again; though I didn't even notice the main page date mix-up, I just went straight for the sellers info XD"

I suppose this means you're not doing the discount for returning sellers again

I suppose this means you're not doing the discount for returning sellers again If I recall correctly, the discount for returning sellers last year had only been done because of the A/C leak that happened the year before, which had caused delays in setup and start due to clean up and having to relocate a couple tables.

It was still nice lol. Well no matter.

Hi Chris! I have another question pertaining to the Fashion Swap merging into Nominoichi. I was a Fashion Swap seller for the past two years. Now that the Fashion Swap has merged into Nominoichi, will prior Fashion Swap sellers now be required to adhere to "the 50-50" rule because the Fashion Swap is not a seperate event anymore?

That's a good question.
It would far more convenient for us to have one set of rules for every table, and the best way to make that work would be to keep the 50-50 rule the same.
As a former Fashion Swap seller do you think it'd be too difficult to include enough Anime merchandise on your table to do this?

I definitely feel it would be too difficult for myself and possibly other prior Fashion Swap sellers to include enough Anime merchandise to adhere to "the 50-50" rule in place at Nominoichi. The Fashion Swap was a great event for attendees who are predominantly interested in Japanese fashion to sell their unwanted fashion items and meet other Japanese fashion enthusiasts. I am worried I will no longer be able to attend as a seller if "the 50-50" rule will now apply to me this year.

... if "the 50-50" rule will now apply to me this year. Unfortunately the 50-50 rule, as with all the Nominoichi rules, do apply equally to every seller. This is done to insure that all sellers are treated fairly and it's easier to manage the event without loopholes or exceptions for different sellers. During last years event we proposed several potential changes for this year, to that end we discussed the possibility of a Nominoichi and Fashion Swap merger with a number of sellers, but admittedly not all of them. The feedback we received then was overwhelmingly positive, and those sellers indicated they would welcome the opportunity to also sell Nominoichi merchandise alongside their Fashion Clothing, even when that change would result in adopting Nominoichi table prices and rules. At this point we are planning to go ahead with the event this way, this year. After the event, as always, we will internally asses how we did and how to do it better next year. We also welcome feedback from other sellers and buyers and ask them to share their ideas and experiences, both good and bad. It is because of this feedback process we have the rules we do now, and through that process we can always change the rules in the future. In regards to your situation I'd recommend finding a friend, or two, who have a lot of Anime merchandise to sell. Then you could try to reserve a full table as a group and sell together. The 50-50 rule is not assessed individually, but rather on each groups table.

Will Nominoichi retain the same numbering system as previous years? If not what changes will there be?
