Please note that you should not name your panel "XXXXX Panel" when registering. Panels are flagged as such in the program and guidebook and do not need the additional indicator.
Also, remember to register under the exact same panel name as an existing panel, otherwise it can be a hassle for our team to track things down. Descriptions and other details can be different, but using the same name simplifies things immensely.
Thank you!

Another piece of advice: if you really want to be involved in a panel, sign up before recruiting. No one needs to post in the forum in order to sign up, and it would suck if the panel gets approved without you, especially if you're the one that posted the recruitment thread in the forum.

Please don't include 2020 in your panel thread names or in the panel name in the application.

You don't need to request permission to apply for a panel, just sign up. If the panel seems or is full, you can still sign up until the panel is officially approved, which I very doubt is happening this month. The applications are reviewed.

Here's the difference between a Panel with A/V (which is what my presentations are signed up as) and a Presentation:
Presentations are scripted, while A/V Panels are prepared but also a bit more free-flowing.
Presentations are usually done by Guests or VIPs at multiple conventions and are scripted, so they tend to involve little or no input from the audience.
A/V Panels have at least some audience input on the material, and although are pre-planned, are usually not a scripted 50 minute discussion.
