First, yes, I'm editing this post to hold the new information about the application site. The poll question still stands and if you haven't answered yet, please do. Also, if you have any feedback about the site please share it with us here. In total there were enough applications for 250.5 tables. That's about 50 more than were assuming and it resulted in just about 2/3 of applications getting selected to receive a table. But to us it's a good surprise and it gives a clearer picture to plan for next year. We have begun the process of emailing people their table number. This will take a few days as the mail merge software only allows Gmail to send about 100 emails a day. Once that's complete we will go through the standby list and finally the "sorry, better luck next year" list. For now, I can let you know that the following application ID's will be getting assigned tables in the next few days. This is NOT the same as your table number, and you can not post any selling list here under this number. This is just to let you know if your application is one of these, then you can expect an email hopefully by the end of the week.

I'm completely crushed as I didn't get a table based on the numbers posted above. May I ask what are the odds of getting a table based on being added to the standby list? I just mean in previous years do tables tend to open up? I suppose it all depends on your position on the waiting list or if you're even offered a wait list spot, but should I give up hope that I might still get a table? ;_;
Edit: Found a table spot thankfully. I could cry for how grateful I am. ;_; Also, thanks to everyone for the likes on this. I'm touched by how many people have enjoyed seeing my table over the last few years.

If you have any questions, here's a good place to get answers. If I requested to be beside a someone and they requested me, and both of us got a table, are we garanteed to be beside each other? |

Unfortunately I didn't make it this year either. I'm not sure about how the standby list works. Is it also randomized? Sorry if this question has been answered elsewhere already.

Random lottery is "fair" in that everyone has an equal chance of being selected, but first come first served is far better in terms of people who are more passionate about the event being able to guarantee themselves a table by making sure they're available when the time comes to apply. |

Agreed. I see a couple of reliable sellers that come every year that already have not got a table. Perhaps I shouldn't complain seeing how I got mine, but I'm sure I would have anyway, being on time and I can be upset for those who didn't. Those who come every year deserve one over those applying for one on a whim. This is definitely discouraging. |

I was surprised by the number of veteran sellers who didn’t get a table as well.
Judging from the numbers Chris reported after the first day alone, I think the application period ought to be shortened to 24 hours.
