Firstly, I'm sorry if I'm asking this in the wrong place. Please just let me know and I'll remove it immediately.
So a buddy of mine recently decided he didn't want his large collection of doujinshi(self-published works, usually magazines, manga or novels) anymore and dumped it on me. He used to work in Japan and brought them with him when he moved back. Now I wanted to sell it off at the next Nominoichi, but I have no idea if that's permitted or not. Majority of the doujinshi is manga(both h and non-h) with a couple of light novels and artbooks mixed in.
My only experience at Nominoichi is selling figures both regular and cast-off and I've never had any issues regarding those. I've always marked the cast-off ones as 18+, both on the forums and at the event. And I always checked the IDs of those purchasing. So is it right to assume that as long as they are clearly market 18+ and I make sure anyone purchasing them shows me ID, it is okay to sell them at next year's Nominoichi(assuming I'm lucky enough to get a table)? Or is it a big no no? I figured it safer to ask than to just assume and find out later.

Yep, people sell stuff like that at the Nomi all the time. As long as you follow guidelines with regards to the sale of 18+ items, you're fine.

First, it great that you are asking in advance. Thanks for that.
We do allow sellers to offer +18 items for sale, but there are some additional rules about selling these items you must observe.
You, and every seller at your table, must be at least 18 years old. It is your responsibility to check the ID of anyone who want to look at or buy these items. You must not display any items that show explicit images. You can use tape, or post-it notes, to edit an R-rated image down to a PG-13.
And remember, what is allowed in Japan may not be allowed in Canada. Therefore it is your responsibility to insure that the content of the books you are offering is not going to get you in trouble with the many police officers at Anime North.

Thanks for the answers and the rules, I'll be sure to thoroughly go through them before potentially trying to sell them at NN2020.

Thanks for the answers and the rules, I'll be sure to thoroughly go through them before potentially trying to sell them at NN2020. Just as a quick FYI if you don't luck into a table or find someone willing to share one: Beguiling Comics in Toronto do buy and sell doujinshi. They usually have a table in AN Dealers' room so you may want to wait until AFTER AN to bring your books in. Here's their address: 319 College St, Toronto, ON M5T 1S2
