sabrinaofsaffron The other applicants would love to hear your feedback I've been tasked with creating a stickied post for the collection of scenarios. I'll be working on it in the evening. Thanks for doing the stickied post crownowa! I apologize for dropping off the face of the planet, real life got a little out of hand for a bit T-T richardthebald, I've actually had Fingers email me and he mentioned that the A/V is likely not feasible without sacrificing the room capacity, as you previously predicted. Hence, I think the suggestion post might be helpful to get prepared and we can maybe get creative without A/V...? (Any chance we could get a big whiteboard or something like in the games rooms?) Any thoughts from kotoko or delta re: A/V, given how the panel ran last year? aeneas your expertise would be great on the panel if you haven't already signed up, but your input would also be greatly appreciated!! And to get to Marianne's point about prep: I'm happy to do whatever works for people. Personally very noob on Discord. Email is usually a pretty sure bet for me, but up to the group!

I'm also good with whichever method for group conversation, but figured a less public option would be beneficial so we can provide some novelty for attendees, even with the call for submission of scenarios.
I also think access to a white board could be beneficial.

As long as you're okay describing the scene before you start your analysis, so that the audience can get the gist of it, I don't think you need A/V. However, with the shift away from attendee participation, you may find that you don't need as big of a room next year, and can then decide to request A/V next year (I wouldn't expect folks to truly understand the format change until they've sat through it).
Let me know if you'd like me to update your application e.g. to ask for white board / easel with paper.

Let me know if you'd like me to update your application e.g. to ask for white board / easel with paper. I think if it is the panelists describing the scene in a way we have thought out beforehand, we should be okay; the main issue last year seemed to be more that the audience members might try to describe the scene in a way such that the panelists were unclear and the rest of the audience was doubly unclear. If you could please update the application to include the white board/easel with paper that would be greatly appreciated!! We can try it out this year and see if it goes well (or not). Maybe depending on how this pans out we may find that a presentation with A/V is the way to go next year. On that note: any chance there will be any sort of more formalized feedback avenue after panels this year? I posted on Teahouse, checked the FB group, and also posted on Reddit to see if I could get some ideas but unfortunately responses are meager. In my experience, QR codes for Google Forms seem to work well; if we could even put one in the AN Guidebook, on the signs for the panels (e.g. the ones on the doors or on the easels outside the doors), and on the boards where schedules/maps are posted, this could be helpful? Then it would just be a matter of "Panel name", "What did you enjoy?", "What could be improved?", "What would you like to see for next year?" in the Google Form? Just a thought!

Update complete.
There are a couple ideas floating around regarding how to obtain more formal feedback, but I haven't heard about anything concrete yet.

Well, with regards to AV, we don't seem to be getting much response in terms of scenarios to cover ^^;; We may just have to stick with the audience Q&A or come up with some interesting scenarios ourselves. I think e-mail and a shared Google doc worked well for us last year, especially given that the majority of our panel hosts work irregular hours And of course, with COVID-19 being a thing, things might get busy, thus making it difficult for a real-time chat like Discord (although, I'm praying it doesn't get that bad but you never know). Also, yeah, I'm getting used to Discord but it's still pretty new to me, haha.
