Hey folks! I've been to a bunch of different cons around parts of the US and Canada. Would anyone be interested in doing a panel on getting to different cons on a budget. Topics might include: - Research: What kind of con do you want to go to? Different cons excel at different things
- Tickets: How to snag early-bird tickets OR get a discount (varies from con-to-con)
- Lodging: Cheap(ish) rooms, AirBnB, rooming with friends (new or otherwise)
- Transportation: Plane, trains, or automobiles (snagging cheap options, transporting costumes, or goods)
- Legal matters: Passports, enhanced driver's licenses, and generally not getting arrested
Anyone interested?

this is something i've been learning flying to my second con last year. and I'll be flying again atleast once more this year.
I have travel and budgeting tips. as well as getting cheap (er) tickets
as well as being a little choosey about what cons i go to. that have some sort of food option included with registration (though that's a rare one)

I'd be down to help you folks out. I've been from all across the country from Hal-con to Ptarmicon, and I've got a few travel/accommodation horror stories that hopefully some people can learn from and avoid.

I signed up as well. Been going to Cons/Festivals since 96/97 - most notably Fantasia (Montreal), Vulgarthon (NJ), NYCC (NYC) and SDCC. Lot of various hotels, traveling with trollies, trains, planes, greyhound, driving, subways, etc. Finding ways into hard to get into events, booths and panels. Planning like its an Oceans 11 heist.

I have to different spellings of this panel to combined, but the name isn't coming across properly in the applications. I suggest updating the panel name - I can update it in your applications.
This is what I see: "The Road to : Travelling on the Cheap".

Oh, my bad. I wrote "The Road to <CON>" Probably would make more sense to change to "The Road to Conventions: Travelling on the Cheap". Thanks crownowa!
