I noticed it got its usual spot on the schedule taken, and I don't see a thread for it, so it made me wonder, is it happening this year?

Follow-up question: If nobody else does one, who thinks I should give it a shot?

Hi - runner for the past few years here. I didn't submit for the early bird submission for the 'large' groups because by definition, the FF shoots as of past few years post-XV's release wouldn't qualify due to lower turnout (we've been on the Medium category, turnout wise) so I didn't feel it fair to submit and take advantage. I will be submitting for a Saturday date at TCC1 & Sunday at TCC2 at 1pm.

ya'll still would be a large shoot, with vii coming out this year and all~~ Good point! With FFVII Remake coming out in April there's likely going to be an increased number of FFVII cosplayers.
Personally I'll be doing FFIX with it being my favourite, and it's the 20th anniversary of IX this year.

ya'll still would be a large shoot, with vii coming out this year and all~~ I was waffling on just going ahead anyway because of that reason but I had figured, I'd just register the day after just to be courteous. Ironically, I would have missed the pre-reg deadline because I was at the KupoCon VII:Remake Launch party on Sat XD. Oh well, at least I registered for the same time/spot on Sunday since it appeared to be free so there's semi-consistency. Haha. I do love TCC1 from the Fire Emblem shoots I've been to there so perhaps it will even out attendance (barring weather issues).

That's one of the small shoot areas, and from my experience, Saturday FF shoots are usually on the bigger end of medium size.

In my experience from actually running the FF shoots and attending various shoots in various AN areas for 5+ years, yes. FF doesn't tend to bring out super bulky builds unlike say Fire Emblem where you get a bunch of armour builds (and I've attended that shoot when Fates came out and everyone was perfectly fine). I picked it over TCC3 because I don't care for that location because there is zero shade and thought it'd be more interesting to switch it up. And honestly, I've seen worse crowding at the Danganronpa shoot at the one Delta location. In the event it isn't, TCC2 slot was open on Sunday. I think it'll be fine. Most of the regular FF cosplayers are pretty chill.

It was great! They informed us from the get-go that it was a more party/casual affair so to have Barret's new VA there was a cherry on top (I mostly went to see some of my FF cosplay friends and/or KupoCon regulars plus they always have cool loot) - they had him meet people for a bit and even did a part where people would write scenarios/things for him to say/act out. He was very friendly/social with the crowd which is amazing considering he flew in and out of PAX east to attend the Toronto event. A highlight for me was the prompt where it was like 'Barret goes to McDonald's at 2 am and the ice cream machine is broken.' There was a rad Sephiroth cosplayer with a Jenova head and they had him as the McDonald's employee. It was great when the cosplayer was dumbfounded and just said, 'sorry, my mom's dead'.

Picturing Sephiroth as a McDonald's employee is the best thing I've heard/imagined all day! It sounds like it was a really great time! Way more fun then doing Inventory at work, ha ha.

Question: On the spread sheet it says there are two Final Fantasy shoots on saturday. One at 12Pm and one at 1pm both in different locations. Are there two running that day or was this an error on the sheet?
