Why did the table price go up again this year? Last year rose from $35 to $40, and now this year is another +$10 jump?
I've always supported Nomi changes, including the lottery table process, but Nomi is supposed to be a for-fan flea market. This pricing puts Nomi tables as more expensive than Comic Market tables.
(CM tables are $185+tax = 210 including weekend admission, so ~$135 per table for 3 days. Nomi is $50 for a couple hours on Friday. CM is also in the main hall with more foot traffic. **editted to take tax into consideration)
I'm very unhappy about the pricing changes, and I feel it's pretty unacceptable. Will staff please comment on why the pricing has risen so high? The only reason I can see is to profit off of the demand for tables, and that's definitely not cool as this isn't a for-profit convention.

Last year rose from $35 to $40, and now this year is another +$10 jump? I'm afraid that is not entirely accurate. By 2013 the event was just $30 for a full table In 2014 the prices were raised to $35 per table And in 2018 we raised those prices again to $40 We kept the same prices in 2019, they did not change last year. The event is open for selling from 7:00pm to 11:00pm. This way a full table used to be $10 per hour of operation. In 2018, when we raised the rates from $35 to $40, we also increased the hours of operation by 30 minutes to maintain this ratio. However, this year rising operational costs have forced us to again increase the table fee. This was not a decision taken lightly, but one that we felt was necessary. This year we are also holding the event for the same length of time as last year, but we will be examining the possibility of increasing the event hours in the future. To put it another way: this represents an actual increase of just $2.50 per selling hour, the first such increase in seven years. We believe that awareness of the event, the number of tables, and the number of people who come shopping has increased enough over the last seven years to reasonably offset an increase of $2.50 an hour. That's also the cost per table, it can be further split among two or three sellers. Each time we have raised prices it has been in response to rising costs. We are aware that nobody likes to pay more for the same thing. We hope you, and everyone, will continue to support the Nominoichi.

Will it still be a pay-on-arrival dealie at least? Yes. It will be the same as previous years. Payment will be made on when you sign in to the event on Friday night.
