Thank you all for coming and making this my most successful year so far! ^o^
From off in the distance, a strange visitor arrives at the Anime North marketplace. You see a red gypsy wagon with a black roof, decorated with Japanese paraphernalia and flashy painted designs and pulled by a pair of chocobos, steam puffing out of its chimney and a trio of flags (Canadian, Ontarian and Japanese) flying from its roof's back end. Windows on its front and sides apparently provide the only way whoever's inside can see where the birds are taking them, but they don't allow anyone outside a clear glance in. Below the front window is a square opening with a tiny counter, a yellow desk bell fixed to it. A hand reaches out and rings the bell, disappearing back into the wagon just as quickly, and the chocobos slow to a stop, allowing the wagon to undergo a change. It detaches from their harnesses, letting them wander off to rest nearby, and positions itself in an open marketplace spot as if by magic--which it is, of course, as the wagon's special functions are all fuelled by pure Anime North magic. Its wheels retract into itself as it lowers to the ground, and a little staircase pops out in the back between two ornate railings, leading to a door that has another small window covered from inside with a dark curtain. As the sun starts getting lower in the sky, paper lanterns hanging and swinging on the corners of the wagon's roof light up on their own, flyers now clearly visible on the wagon state such things as "EVERYTHING MUST GO!" and "BARGAIN TIME!", the bells and chimes displayed on it can be heard more clearly in the evening breeze, and you detect the scent of fast food coming from inside it. A neon sign set up above the door and just below the flags turns on, displaying the shop's name in bright pink with an animated maneki neko ringing a yellow desk bell, showing a recurring theme. Someone lifts the curtain just the slightest bit and peeks out at the gathering crowds of the marketplace before lowering it and rummaging around noisily. A few minutes later, the door opens, and out steps a large man carrying a big bag of goods to sell, a messenger bag slung over himself, mouth full of the last bites of his dinner. He's dressed in a funny manner, wearing a silly fuzzy cat beanie and steampunk goggles. He taps out a combination on the stairs with his feet, making a countertop emerge from the wagon and surround him, and he lays out the merchandise, a battery-powered fan, a cash box and another yellow desk bell. After setting up a small chair, giving a "be right back" signal and briefly running off with shopping bags to pick up more stuff for the ever-growing collection visible within the wagon (which seems to be the size of a whole apartment unit on the inside, again made possible by the magic), he returns with his haul, carefully sits down, cools his face with the fan and pulls a bottle of Coke out of his messenger bag, enjoying a sip of it just before the firework signal goes off for the marketplace to officially open. He removes his goggles, adjusts his hat, rings his desk bell, looks up at his potential customers with a friendly smile and says...
Hello, everyone! :3 Welcome to AJ the Collector's Collectible Caravan!
The caravan is finally returning for its third year at Nominoichi, this time at side B of table N137, and running at full steam on enough magic for THREE Anime Norths! I hope that although I have a somewhat smaller selection of goods than most other vendors, some of you can find something that catches your interest and give it a loving new home! I have manga, DVDs, games, lots of cards and much more up for grabs, so stop by and have a look!
Now, a few rules and tips...
1. I accept reservations on all items and will hold them for as long as needed, but the cutoff is obviously when Nomi closes. Please try to pick your item up before the end of Nomi, because I don't want anyone to miss out on something they've looked forward to! I know that sadness myself... :c
2. All prices are firm--I feel I've priced my items fairly given their condition, what they usually sell for and/or what I originally paid for them, I need whatever money I can get, and I just REALLY have to make space by getting rid of things I no longer want or need. I will, however, consider reasonable bundle prices on 2 or more reserved items, especially if they're items of similar type.
3. Any item that's crossed out has already been reserved, but you can be put on a waiting list in case a hold is cancelled.
4. The thread will be updated every so often with new items. The newest items at the time of each update will be listed in red.
5. Reservations are open until 12am on Wednesday, July 13. The cutoff for cancellations is 12am on Friday, July 14.
6. Please try to have exact cash ready when paying for reserved items. I won't be upset if you don't or anything, it'd just make things a bit easier.
7. Please be aware that I'll begin slowly packing up shop about 10 minutes before Nomi officially ends.
8. You can buy from me knowing that everything comes from a smoke-free environment and I love to keep my hands clean!
9. Reservation priority will be given to those who commit to an item first. I will allow one backup hold at a time per item. In the event of the person chosen first cancelling their hold, the backup person will replace them. In the event of AN's cancellation, you can choose to have your hold rolled over to next year.
10. A Facebook photo gallery of most items can be found here: www.facebook.com/aj.smerdon/media_set?set=a.1441890609250115.1073741827.100002875703611&type=3 It will be updated every few days or whenever possible. If you want photos of a specific item not yet shown there, feel free to ask!
Happy shopping, and happy 25th anniversary to Anime North! ^o^/

This will only be brought if someone reserves it--if you do, please bring your 3DS with you and test the game at the table. If it works, it's yours for $15. If not, you're of course not required to buy a crapped-out game just because you reserved it, so I'll simply take it off the table and dispose of it later.
