This thread includes information about the Nominoichi event itself. As well as any important news and updates from me, and answers to some of your questions.
And here is an update:
Late members:
If you are part of a group of sellers it is important at at least one member of your group arrive on time. It is better and easier for us if your whole group shows up together, but if a member is going to arrive late, that'll be fine as long as someone else is there on time. The first member to arrive will have to pay for the table so be ready for that. (Exact amount is preferred) If a late member arrives after 7:00 they will have to wait in the buyers line and come in like everyone else.
Ribbons:
All Nominoichi staff members and sellers will be wearing a special ribbon before 7:00. This ribbon will be given to sellers when they sign in. It is important that all sellers immediately attach this ribbon to their badge and that the ribbon and badge be visible at all times. If you see anyone (staff, volunteer, or seller) without a Nominoichi ribbon on inside the Nominoichi area before we "open" at 7:00 please let us know immediately.
Twitter:
This Friday we will be using our Nominoichi twitter account, @animenorthnomi and we invite sellers to also use our hashtag: #AnimeNorthNomi to post photos of what you have for sale on your table.
Problems:
If you have a problem or concern about anyone at the Nominoichi, a seller, a buyer, a staff member, anybody please see us at the Staff tables immediately. If you have a problem or issue please let us know at the event. Until I get my time machine to work properly, the best opportunity to fix a problem at the Nominoichi will be during the Nominoichi.
Post event reports:
After the Nominoichi please come back to this forum and let us know how your experience was. Share with us the things you thought we did right, and the things we need to improve on next year. If something went wrong, tell us, and it really helps if you could also tell us how to improve it too. If you have any ideas on ways to improve the event, the process to reserve a table, how to better use the forums, or any other idea you have to improve the Nominoichi we want to hear about it.
And once again, here is a layout with potential table numbers:
Please keep in mind that this layout is still not %100 confirmed, and it probably won't be until the day of the event. Think of this map as our best guess as to where we want the table to be, but don't be upset if they are not all in the "right" location at the Nominoichi. If you need any help finding a table please see us at the Staff Tables (N194 and N195) and we will be happy to assist you.
... and to help you participate in the Nominoichi we have a few rules
The first rule is: DON'T ARRIVE EARLY. This applies to both sellers and buyers.
Nobody will be admitted into Hall B before I get there. Those who arrive too soon are not only wasting their own time, but also cause an unnecessary burden for operations services volunteers (OS) who may require you to disperse if the line is interfering with other events.
People who don't have a table reserved and want to go shopping at the Nominoichi are called buyers. The Nominoichi opens at 7:00 and OS doesn't want buyers to line up more than an hour before the event starts. Therefore, buyers should start to line up at 6:00 pm.
People who have a table reserved care called sellers. They will have a different time to arrive and line up. Those details will be found in the "you have a table" email I've sent to each seller. It's the same email that includes the table number.
The second rule is: There will (or should) be some 3 foot pipe-and-drape set up along the orange line. Buyers will line up inside this pipe-and-drape, next to the wall, as indicated. Sellers will line up alongside the pipe-and-drape, on the other side. At the correct time sellers will be admitted into the Nominoichi through the "exit" arrow. If there is no pipe-and-drape, then please form two separate lines as indicated: Buyers next to the wall and sellers next to them.
The third rule is: Back up. Please don't start the line pressed against the doorway or entrance. Stand back a bit. It will be much easier to ask you to move closer if you are too far away, than to ask you to move back if you are too close.
The Nominoichi will be in HALL B at the TCC. The only entrance will be from the combined HALLS of D and E. If you need any help finding where the Nominoichi area is, please keep an eye out for this banner; it's massive and bright red.
I also want to gave a special thanks to SalisofKnight. He has been working very hard to maintain a master index of all the sellers separate table lists. If you want to see what will be available for sale at the Nominoichi, we'd recommend that you check here first:
