I just wanted to say that I think The Chris McKenna and the Nomi team did an incredible job! As a first time seller everything was well planned out and ran very smoothly despite an individual stealing from our booth. I would suggest that anyone interested in running their own booth to definitely do it! It was well worth the experience and interesting to see what everyone else brought. The atmosphere was just awesome and I unloaded about %90 of what I brought with me. I'm definitely considering again next year. The only negative that I have to say at all was trying to find where to enter for the sellers. I was worried that I had to stand in the dealers line to get in and when I asked three different staff; not one could give me a definite answer. It wasnt until I found other sellers that I knew where to go. All in all it was a fantastic experience and whether I sell again next year or not I will definitely be checking it out again.

Welcome back. I wanted to thank everyone who has posted here about their Nominoichi experience. All the information you can share, both about the good and the bad, can help us to improve our event next year. I think the general consensus is that it was far better than last year, and overall one of the smoothest run events in a long time. This is something we'd absolutely agree with. Having the buyers and sellers line up at different entrances was a big help, this is something we have tried to do in the past and something we will do again the future. This year we also had enough staff to run two separate entrance lines again, and splitting the sellers tables into ODD and EVEN numbered lines was a big help to insure everyone was processed quickly. We also did an informal survey and most sellers we only waiting in line for about 15-20 min. This is, of course, a huge improvement over last year. Unfortunately with my attention focused both on the room and the sellers line I had to delegate the buyers line to Special Ops volunteers. From the comments I gather it became a bit twisted and convoluted. However, I believe next year (if we are in the same area, with the same OS staff support) it should be easier to maintain a more logical straight line. Finally, despite all the confusion, the buyers line was fully absorbed into the Nominoichi by 7:35. Therefore, if you arrived after then, you wouldn't have noticed anything. There were a few layout and technical problems we noticed on the back end, these are things we will work on internally over the year. Although I don't think you will notice any changes, hopefully next time will run a bit smoother for us. Anyway, now we'll be taking a much deserved rest and we won't even start to think about the next Nominoichi for a few months. However, if you have any more ideas, comments, or questions please post them here or send them in an email. We do take your input seriously and try to consider all options when we make changes. ... and, as always, thanks for you interest and support of the Nominoichi!

As a person who has been part of Nominoichi for a couple of years, I have to admit that as a seller this was one of the most easiest and smoothest year ever! I really appreciated how easy it was to check in and I was actually all set up within half an hour! I am hopeful to come back as a seller next year but it depends on how much stuff I want to part with:) thank you again for all of your hard work Chris and Team!

Hi Chris!
It was my first time selling at the Nominoichi this year and it was a FANTASTIC experience!
My comments for improvement have already all been mentioned above, but I will quickly re-iterate.
1) I think the auto "out of office" reply for emails going through would be a great idea. Trying to sign up was really really stressful.
2) I agree that there should be some sort of information given to sellers about how to enter the building. I was actually sent from one end of the building and back twice by AN staff (with all of my wares in tow) before I decided to just go right up to the doors and walk in. I met several other people along the way who were also trying to get into the Nomi, and the staff didn't have the info to help any of them either.
Other than that, once I was inside everything went really smoothly and was really well organized. The line up for the sellers didn't take long and the check in process was quick and easy. Thanks for a great Nominoichi 2015!

After you pretty much ignored every good suggestion given for last years convention, and even getting worse than the year before, why do you even bother making this thread when you are probably not going to take any suggestion given here and try doing it to improve anything at all?

If Nomi is in the same place in 2016 as this year and the entrance is the same, I think the entry point should be made clear to both guests and staff, so people don't have to wander around asking where it is only to be told by the staff "No clue, sorry" or given some vague "around the building" direction.
