At this time we are not accepting any tables requests for 2017.We are still working on improving the event and planning how to do it bigger and better next year. If you have any ideas on how we can meet that goal please send me a PM, or post them here. Although we can't implement on every idea we do read all of them. Hopefully, sometime before the end of March 2017, we will have the new rules and information available on the Anime North website. That information will have all the details about when and how to reserve a table. We are not going to start accepting table requests in March, that is just when the information will be posted. Thank you for your patience, and your continuing interest in the Nominoichi!

Having the each time wear their table number in some sort of badge form which would solve a lot of table confusion instead of having it taped to the front where it can be easily block by a crowd having people ending up shouting at dealers trying to find out if they are at the right one causing more noise for people have to talk over, when there was enough already. people keep suggesting this each year and its never implemented for some reason, it makes you look no offence intended like you are allergic to making any effort to improve things

The small sign at each table only so sellers can find their own table and start to set up. Once a seller has found the right empty table then the number has served it's purpose for us.
The only other people who care about table numbers are buyers who have arranged 'holds' with sellers. It is entirely the responsibility of the seller to make their own large sign, or flag, or pin, or whatever to better help buyers to find them.
We also provide maps (that are reasonably accurate) on this forum for buyers to print out and bring with them to better locate their wanted tables. Additionally at the staff tables we have our own maps and even a few staff members and volunteers to help people to find any specific table if all the above fails.
Finally, the letter we sent to each seller last time included this section:
If you can think of a more effective way to express this message, please let us know how you'd say it.
The bottom line is: Our signs serve the purpose we use them for. We support and recommend sellers make more visible signs, but it's up to them to do so.

maybe you should put wearing table number as a suggestion in the guidelines for dealers, if few of them follow it, it will even if its not all of them, it will help guide people to table by seeing this is there then this will be over here. if done properly dealers could have fun with this, and be funny with it.
Clearer markings on where one dealer table starts and where it ends, there was a lot of confusion on this last year, which could be solved with a colored tape to mark borders.

Actually, the letter we sent to each seller last year already included this idea. Every seller got the same letter and they all included this message: We haven't thought of another way to make that any clearer. If you can think of a better way to say it, please let us know and we can change the message this year. Also only a few few sellers have a half table, and we generally let them work out how to fairly divide the space. I've seen a few of them use tape to divide their tables in the past, but it's not a rule. We can add a recommendation into the letter this year if you think it'll help.

Continuing to post a map would be very helpful. :') Even if the tables are one or two off from what the map says, it still makes picking up reservations ten times easier. I thought last year's nom was run pretty well. The line wrapping around the building seemed to work better than the year before with the 'S' shape line (where everyone just ran right in regardless of the line). Although I feel there were a lot of people cutting in once the line started moving forward (which I know is something difficult for staff to monitor especially when it gets to be so long).
