As Zombiekat has previously posted, this will be an extension from Cosplay Makeup: Beginners.
From the past few years it has been noticed that Cosplay Makeup is advancing from simply colour-changed eyebrows and wider eyes to prosthetics, bodypaint and art, as well as tattoos.
This panel will cover the extension of Cosplay Makeup: Beginner to cover the more intermediate to advanced makeup applications including Q & A as always popular.

I would like to find other makeup artists to help discuss the finer details of the advance make up.
A presentation of images of different techniques that are common among cosplay
then tips and tricks on how to help beginner approach these complex ideas.

I would like to find other makeup artists to help discuss the finer details of the advance make up. A presentation of images of different techniques that are common among cosplay then tips and tricks on how to help beginner approach these complex ideas. Polexia Amore has been doing this panel with me for the past 2 years, I've been doing it since 2011. This will be the first year for the advanced so I'm sure it would be decent to keep it to prosthetic application, as well as bodypaint and tattoos. How to create, and make can be addressed on a Q & A basis. I know it popped up about airbrushing, but it was still an expensive piece of equipment that many cosplayers weren't ready to commit to yet. I remember someone trying to do a demonstration in 2011 and we just didn't have time for it. A small AV may work, we've used one in the past but it fell bland because it was only featuring some panelists so more of a show-boating than representation. I'm sure we could get permission to use work of other cosplayers as necessary. Warpaint and Unicorns (I forget her username here) has been doing this for awhile as well, and her work is fantastic as well. Not everyone needs to be pro to look pro.

Here is her ig sdgram.com/user/dyeversion-6673259654As well as her fb www.facebook.com/polexiaamore/I have done this panel before with 3 pros, and to put it nicely, the audience was left feeling dumb and uninspired so the more we focus on them, the better. Keep things down to earth and simple. Pros can move too quickly and leave the audience needing more answers. I also recommend bringing business cards for follow up questions, it has come in handy in the past.

I caution posting people's handles on the forum, even though they are technically public.
I've messaged Fingers about the Cosplay panels since I'd like to know which panels were done last year, then we can talk about splitting the panels between Beginner and Intermediate, and whether we can include demos instead of presentations.

I will not be doing demos because I am not being paid for the materials I used in the panel. If that was not the case I would gladly. I find a discussion that's well focused with some images and examples with 20 minutes dedicated to Q&A a good format. This isn't my first rodeo and I ran these make up panels at Con Bravo and they were well received for being separate and focused.

I understand your perspective, but there are dozens of panelists who may want to sign up for these panels and have different udeas of running them, so I've already been speaking to Fingers about possibilities.
Please keep at it with posting about panel ideas. Brand new and existing ideas are both appreciated.

Hi! It's always a delight to be welcomed back to this panel! I went to Sheridan for makeup and am currently enrolled in hair school. I don't mind doing demos if needed! Could be a fun way to share my tips and tricks! I would love to be a part of this again

Were you at Trafalgar campus? I graduated Hair School already and work freelance at a salon. If there is a required demo. I was already planning on showing up in a very heavy make up cosplay. If we organized it early in the morning we could apply and paint an Asari bald cap I made onto myself. I was going to provide the products anyways for my own stuff. I could just do my cosplay make up at the panel.

Depending on if this gets a slot or not, the timing is really up to them, regardless of our preference unless we all specify a time we are unavailable and it adds up. I would suggest maybe showing some bodypaint swatches or a quick tattoo and various sealing methods for a quick demo, so it doesn't eat up Q & A time.
A bald cap might be going one step too far if we don't address applications first like pros-aide, latex, and spirit gum. Waiting on registration to open is 1.) a nightmare, and then to wait on approval is ANOTHER nightmare, before the final anxiety inducing timeslot appearance only weeks before the con.
Last year a lot of cosplay panels got jammed together on Friday evening, I sat in the same room for 3 hours.

What about signing up as a presentation and showing tutorial videos for some techniques?

What about signing up as a presentation and showing tutorial videos for some techniques? Not a bad idea either, I'll put that in my notes!
