I'll be applying for this panel as well! Been reading the manga since it was about 20 chapters long!

Okay, so what exactly is the criteria for presentation? I imagine the Con would rather not waste resources but it is seeming really restrictive this year. I would assume the difference is that with presentations you are talking to the audience, either trying to impart knowledge they may not already have or sway them to your opinion, while with panels it's more about talking with the audience, leading a discussion about everyone's favourite things about the series and bouncing theories and ideas off each other. I'm in agreement with crownowa that in the case of the latter, having presentation equipment is unnecessary, as while it does help to keep people on topic, if panelists are doing their job right and properly moderating the discussion and maintaining its flow, it's not at all needed. The other thing with panels discussing series/franchises is that it's generally safe to assume that your audience has already watched and/or read the material, so even if it's cool to show clips or panels to kinda sell the point, I find it takes away from the discussion itself and restricts the amount of time you could be actually talking just refreshing an audience that's already familiar with what you're talking about. Hmm Panel is a debate between panelists (with some minimal audience input) which should scare up information, theories and opinions you were unaware of. Less pre-packaged, shallower content (usually) but wider ranging. Basically, if you know enough to speak AT a panel, you should be on it. But if you have a difficult question, there’s your chance to find your answer. Presentation is a prepared transfer of knowledge, often much deeper, but far more prepared and structured. Usually follows a power point or other props. Might have time to take a question or two at the end. Clear-ish ? F

Hey all, seems we need one more panelist, so if you're interested in joining, please do! Or if you know someone who might be, let them know to sign up on anpanels! I'm really excited to discuss this series, so I hope we get a 4th person soon!

I applied for a Hero Academia manga spoilers panel but got no word. I will apply asap. I need to spread the good word of the Lord Bakugou That's because except for maybe one occasion a couple years ago, there's no separate "spoilers" panels; if every anime series that has the origin material farther along than what's happened in the anime, there'd be a lot of congestion with repeated panels. My plan for the panel to make things fair for both anime-only people and those caught up with the manga is to split the panel in half (or close to half), dedicating the first half to material covered in the anime, giving about five minutes for anyone who wants to remain spoiler-free to leave, then discuss what's happened in the manga. I've noticed that format work with other panels, so I think it could work for us even if there's less time for us to discuss both. Also, as much as I love Bakugou, Kirishima is clearly best boy. Such a sweet precious child. He deserves all the love and hugs.

Kirishima is a worthy boy, but he is hardly an underappreciated boy in character depth.
The Gospel of Sparky boom boom boy needs to be sung to the people.
I'll apply for the Hero Academia panel and see what happens. There's a theory of really like to discuss if given the chance.

Agreed. I find its best to assume that most congoers are caught up to the Japanese releases, and give the spoiler warning at the beginning of the panel.
