Voting is now open for the 2017 Yuri On Ice - er, Crunchyroll Anime Awards. I noticed a blank field to "vote" for an anime not nominated in the category. I'm not sure what this field truly is, but you bet I put Re:Creators where it wasn't nominated. www.theanimeawards.com

Wow. Most of these choices seem incredibly poor. For 'Best Continuing Series' Boku No Hero Academia S2 wasn't even nominated?
There's a pretty strong consensus that Boku is one of the greatest shonen anime released in about a decade.

I was also a bit salty that Dragon Ball Super didn't get nominated for anything at all, and the animation is so much better after the first two arcs. My boyfriend was saying even RWBY is better than some of the nominations, and at least the first season has been dubbed in Japanese.

1.Why was Naruto nominated for anything?
2. If Tsuyu doesn't win "Best Girl", then these awards are even less reputable than the Grammys.
3. Shokugeki no Snub...

I'm annoyed that they toned down on the foodgasms, but the animation, pacing, and plot execution was top notch yet again in the latest season.

My mistake! I was so sure I didn't see it there. My mind has been put at ease.

I wonder if they were worried it could win both Best Anime and Best Continuing? So they only allowed it in one to avoid things like last year when one series sweeps. I'd have to recheck but could things be nominated in both fields? edit: March comes in Like a Lion is in both but I still feel them not wanting a sweep is the reason behind it.

That's a good point, but I think that Rakugo would have had the same issue. At least there's a free-form box to put in another anime, but I'm not even sure what that box is for - perhaps just collecting data on what the fans prefer.
