Get hype, everyone! It's coming up on time once again for the Random Games photoshoot!
Your host will be me, of course, the official master of Random Games ceremonies, so to speak. If needed, you may address me as AJ, Collector, Adrian, Rusty Shackleford, or my character's name if I'm in costume. My cohost this year will be fellow forumite xshedevilx, and I'm open for one more if anyone would like to volunteer.
Now here's how it'll all go down: I like to wait a moment after the time the shoot is set to begin at, to ensure more people can arrive on time. Once I'm satisfied that we have enough people to begin, usually two or three minutes in, After a quick reiteration of how things will be done and a rundown of basic etiquette rules, which will be detailed below, I'll open with a group shot and we'll work from there. Due to the need for a full hour having decreased in recent years, we'll likely have about 45 minutes to work all our cosplay and photography magic. I'll call out each character or category twice to be sure, and the audience is to repeat my call to be extra sure. Each time people are called up, you'll be asked to do two different poses for variety's sake. I'll signal switch time between poses and categories with a shouted countdown from 5. At the end, we'll have one final group shot set. When there's a lot of people in a shot, please make sure to get as many people in-frame as possible. Also keep in mind that categories used will depend on time and who shows up.
Most importantly, of course, is to respect your fellow cosplayers and ask for their permission before touching them or anything else. Anyone who acts inappropriately and ISN'T just being in-character for a shot will be given a warning, as will anyone who makes others uncomfortable, in-character or otherwise. Remember, your character being a dick isn't an excuse. Continued offenses will result in being asked to leave the shoot, and third strike will be a call for staff. I have a zero tolerance policy for bullying, ignorance, sexual harassment or any similar offense. Any such offenses noticed or experienced by others are to be reported to me immediately. But I'm confident that no one will cause any problems--AN's consistently been full of great people!
