Good morning everyone!
Each Anime North for the last three years there has always been a Kantai Collection photoshoot, all a ton of fun and showing a wonderful variety of characters! This 2018 the tradition will be continuing once more at the same location and slightly different time!
Take a look at this handy little map over here, in particular TCC 1. That location has served us well in the past and it shall do so again as this year's shoot location! This time, the shoot will be a little earlier at 2:00 on May 26, a Saturday just like last year. We have a facebook page for the event as well! We would really appreciate if you registered at that page that you are going to help us keep track of attendance and improve our coordination!
The backup location will be TCC4 at 2PM on Saturday.
This year we hope to also have some co-hosts to help coordinate various poses for our hopefully many characters! Please post on the event page if you're interested in helping to direct this shoot!
However we're throwing a little bit of a curve ball this year. Some of you may have heard of the Chinese shipgirl game Azur Lane. While it technically is very different from Kancolle, it shares quite a few similarities given its fairly obvious inspirations and similar themes, down to characters sharing the same name and much of its fanbase being shared. No, this isn't also an Azur Lane photoshoot. HOWEVER we are open to Azur Lane cosplayers as well; we would love to see both the Azur Lane and Kancolle Atagos, Prinz Eugens, Ark Royals, Saratoga and so on!
Of course, the focus will be on Kancolle but in the interest of fostering mutual friendship between both fandoms, they're welcome to tag along!
