Anime North 2019 - Photoshoots Department Announcement Update #1 - February 14th 2019
Good Afternoon Everyone. On behalf of a new Anime North Photoshoots Team, Hello! I am pleased to announce that for 2019 we will be implementing a new applications process for the Anime North Photoshoot Department. These changes will improve our ability to organize behind the scenes and should make it simple enough for everyone to understand the steps required to apply to host a photoshoot. I would like to also thank the previous department head for her 8 years of running the photoshoot department and I hope they enjoy their new endeavours. A Reminder of Application Dates:
- Large Photoshoots early application window Feb 14th to 24th 2019.
- General Photoshoots applications start Feb 24th 2019
The new format for applications will be described in the document " Anime North Photoshoots Department: Rules & General Information” but to summarize the process; - Fill out the new application google form: Anime North Photoshoots Applications Form
- Wait for acceptance email or clarification email
- Post your photoshoot schedule for everyone to see. (Your social media and our forums)
If you're curious about what photoshoots were accepted already I will have a live document where I fill out accepted photoshoots. You will be able to watch me work in real time and I’ll leave notes if needed in the same place. Anime North 2019: Accepted Photoshoots Live Doc Questions can be directed to the department email “anphotoshoots@gmail.com” Please, some time for replies as I will be dedicating time to emails likely on a weekly basis. Thank you, everyone, for your understanding of our evolving ways, Your new Anime North Photoshoots Department Team

Hello, I am an organizer for a Photography Meetup group and I plan outings for members to go and play with their cameras. I am familiar with Cosplay but not to much about your photo shoot. If I want to organize a group to come and shoot, as I don't have a full understanding, do I fill in an application? And a supplied group of Cosplayers will be there for us to shoot at a designated time slot? And would we need to pay the admission fee? Based on my position could you let me know what I can do?

It sounds like your best bet is to check the schedule and show up to photoshoots you might be interested in.

anphotoshootsdept - Pretty urgent thing I need addressed: The organizer of the annual Homestuck photoshoot wasn't given the timeslot and area she asked for, but also hasn't been offered any alternatives either. This sort of thing is why every year previous, we were told to mention alternate times and areas, so there'd be a backup plan that could immediately be implemented. None of us want the shoot to not happen, especially on the 10th anniversary year of Homestuck. Please let me know right away what can be done, and if the next best slots for the shoot (TCC4 at 4pm and TCC2 at 6pm) are still available. Thank you in advance.

Lemme know if not.
