Also, after deeply examining the data we found that the difference between the total number of applications received, and those selected for a table was negligible.
For example, when looking at the differnce between: The percentage of full table requests, out of all requests received (%89.6) and the percentage of full tables actually selected (%89.7) the difference is close to one tenth of one percentage point.
When we compare Half tables, General section tables, and all other section tables, the difference between all the applications received and of those selected is within one or two percentage points.
There was no preference or bias built into the random selection process, and therefore it SHOULD have resulted in a fair and random selection from all the applicants. After crunching the numbers that is exactly what did happen.
