First, The Nominoichi tables have all been assigned and the stand-by list is full. Over 2/3 of people who applied received a table this year and there were far fewer errors and problems than in the past.
Second, This Nominoichi forum is growing by many posts every day. I suspect we'll be over 9000 by the time of the event! This means there is far too much activity for us to catch everything quickly. It'd be very helpful if, when you see a post, thread, or comment that you think might be breaking any of the rules to please use the 'report post' option, even if you are not sure, and we will take a look at it. We are very grateful for all your help to keep an eye on things.
Third, Here is a draft copy of the table layout and the buyers entrance for the Nominoichi XIV. I would like to remind people that this is only a proposed version of the layout. Any number of circumstances may require us to move a table, row, or even rearrange an entire section. This map is only a guide of where we hope the tables will be.
Fourth, Nominoichi Staff Tables are N184 and N185. They are at the end of the aisle and closest to the main doors. If anyone at the Nominoichi has any problems with a buyer, seller, volunteer, staff, or anyone else please come and at us at the staff tables first. Also if you lose, find, or forget anything at the Nominoichi come and see us at the staff tables. Finally, if you need any help finding a table come and see us.
Fifth, a little nomienclature. Two words we use a lot behind the scenes are buyers and sellers.
Sixth, Sellers need to get into the room early to set up their stuff. All sellers are on our master list. Please remember that we, the Nominoichi staff, shall be the only people to admit sellers into Hall C and that process won't start until 5:30. We aren't even going to be in the building before 5:00. The Sellers Waiting Area is only for people named on the sellers list. It's not a place for buyers, or helpers, nor anyone else to wait in.
Seventh, About 1/3 of people who applied for a table this year were not able to get one. If you are a seller with a full table, with less than three sellers, and you have some space to share on your table; Then on this forum you can find people who'll want to join your table. If you decide to add them to your table's group, please remember that the deadline to add, or remove, anyone; is May 13th. After that we not allow any further changes.
Eighth, Please don't forget to come back to this forum after the Nominoichi and let us know how we did. Share with us your thoughts about what went well, what didn't, and if you have any ideas to improve next years event. We want to hear from both buyers and sellers about all parts of the Nominoichi. I know it's a bit soon to think about it now, but please don't forget about it later.
Ninth, All sellers should make their own preparations and arrangements to move items both into, and out of, the Nominoichi. We will not provide any carts, wagons, nor dollies to help you move your stuff. Also our staff is very busy and we will not have any helpers, volunteers, nor assistants available to carry your stuff for you. If you want someone to help you, be sure to include their name as a "seller" at your table (Even if they are not selling anything)
Tenth, Sellers at half tables please take note of the following: A half table is not allowed to add a second seller, and therefore you can not have anyone help you bring your stuff into or out of the Nominoichi. However, you can have a friend stand outside watching your stuff and (Once you sign in and get a ribbon) you can go in and out to bring your stuff inside. Also, you can have a friend wait in the general buyer line, and enter after we open at 7:00 to temporarily relieve you to go shopping (or to the toilet), and you can arrange to have friends bring in more stuff to your table after we open.
Eleventh, Signs, Racks, Shelves, and Displays are permitted at the Nominoichi. However, they must all be either be behind the table, or securely anchored to the table. (By any means that will cause NO DAMAGE to the table) Any such items that are deemed to be a hazard, or an obstruction must be removed. Furthermore, please keep in mind that the Nominoichi ends at 11:00 and all sellers must exit by 11:30. If it took you more than 30 minutes to set something up, you'll need to start tearing it down before we end to insure you meet the exit deadline.
Twelveth, There are no electrical outlets in Hall C, and therefore should you want to use a computer, laptop, or monitor remember....
There may be a more information to share in the coming days. Please remember to check back here from time to time to see it.
... and thanks to everyone for your interest in the Nominoichi
