We are looking for two more lawyers/law students/paralegals to present a fun panel we call “Anime on Trial!” In this panel, we take a look at how conflicts from popular anime would be resolved in an Ontario courtroom. Examples include: - Are the magical girl contracts from Puella Magi Madoka Magica legally valid?
- Is Kazuma liable for the damages caused to Axel Town in Konosuba?
- What rights are villains in Boku no Hero Academia (such as All For One) entitled to, and have the heroes violated those rights?
The panel is intended to be primarily for entertainment purposes, but we also delve into some of the principles underpinning how our legal system works. Our hope is that everyone walks out of the panel having had a laugh while also learning a thing or two about the Canadian legal system. My co-panelist and I both attended law school together and are now practicing in law/law adjacent fields. We think some knowledge of basics of law would be helpful, but extensive practice experience/knowledge of jurisprudence is definitely not required.

I'm afraid I'm not familiar with this person. Sorry! I'd be happy to work with them if they are interested in the topic.
