Here is the Application ID = Nominoichi Table number list.
Sadly were not able to give everyone who applied a table, however %70 of those who applied have been selected. As we move forward I am sure more than a few people will cancel their table, and those who are currently on the stand-by list will be able to take up those vacancies. I am also hopeful that many others who were not selected for their own table will be able to find a place at another.
This post also has the rest of the table information for sellers. Even if you are a returning seller please read this whole message carefully as a lot of minor, but important, details have changed since last time.
We've also added a poll because, well, it's a question we'd like to know, and to function as a check as to how many people have read this page, so please "vote" in the poll above. Thanks.
Anyway, here's the results list. It is sorted by ID number, therefore the fist line, "3 - N274" means the person with application ID number 3 now has table number N274. Please look for your application ID number on the left and, if it is listed here, then you will have a table number on the right. All full table number begin with the Letter "N" are are followed by three numbers. Half Tables are shown with an additional .1 or .2 added, like: "N000.1"
Also be aware that we may have to move or change your table. It's rare, but it happens sometimes.
From now on you will no longer need to remember your ID number. Everything from this point forward will rely on your Table Number (the N000 number) You are encouraged to post a selling list (but not required to do so) using your table number, and when you sign in at the event on May 26th and find your table it will all be via your table number.
The Stand-by list is as follows, This is the same format as above, except stand-by numbers start with an "S". Number S01 is the first, or highest priority position, on the standby list.
If you are on the Stand-by list please keep a close eye on your email inbox, as I will be contacting you in order as new tables become available.
If your ID number is not on the table list, and not on the stand-by list, then unless you are able to join another table you will probably not be able to participate in the Nominoichi his year.
If this has happened to you, then I am sorry for the bad luck this time. I hope you will try again next year, and thanks for your interest in the Nominoichi.
However, for those who have one, your table number is important. Don't forget it! There should be a very small sticker with this number on your table. However, if you are promoting your items for sale on our forums then you really should also make a bigger and better sign for your table with this number, and even consider wearing a pin or flag with this number so others can find your table easily. We encourage you to promote your stuff, and making your table number visible is a part of that, but it's entirely up to you.
If you would like to cancel your table please let me know as soon as possible so I can tell people who are waiting on the standby list.
You are also your table’s ‘group contact’ and you will accountable for the actions of your group. Please insure that everyone in your group is aware of all the rules for this event.
The Nominoichi will take place on Friday, May 26th, from 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm in Hall C at the Toronto Congress Center (TCC).
On Friday your group will line up "The Courtyard" room, next to Hall C. Please note that you can NOT access this space from inside the building. You must go outside and behind the building to get into this room.
No one will be admitted into Hall C before 5:30. You do not have to arrive early, but if you are not in the sellers area by 6:30 then you may lose your table to someone from the standby list. Again, the Nominoichi staff will only start admitting sellers at 5:30.
Soon there will also be maps provided here to further help sellers find exactly where they need to line up and to show how the tables are laid out this year. We highly recommend that you examine those maps and ask us any questions before the event. Attempting to find your way by asking staff on the day of the convention has proven very challenging to some sellers. Please look at the maps and be sure you know where you are going before the event starts.
The event ends at 11:00. At that time all selling must stop and sellers must exit the building before 11:30. If you still have a lot of stuff left before 11:00 you should start packing up early. Anyone who continues selling past 11:00, or who has not cleaned their table and left before 11:30, may no longer be welcome at the Nominoichi again.
In summary:
We will be collecting the table fee on Friday, at the Nominoichi. It will be collected in cash when you are admitted into the Nominoichi Area. If you have a group of sellers who won't be entering at the same time, then whoever gets there first will pay for the table. We will not accept payment in coins.
This fee is $50 for a full table, $30 for a half table. Tables that include one or more sellers who were on the list from last year will get a single $5 discount. We will check this automatically and even post a list here in the future, so be sure to check back to confirm if have your information correct.
Each full table is allowed two additional sellers, for a total of three. These sellers are also called your 'group'. If you are looking for someone to join your group, I invite you to post in this special thread made for this purpose:
teahousemaplemoon.proboards.com/thread/4360/sharing-thread-tables-looking-another
The deadline to add, change, or remove, a member of your group is May 19th. After that I not allow any further changes. Only sellers whose names are on the list will be permitted into the Nominoichi before 7:00.
Again, we do not allow any 'helpers', 'assistants', 'box carriers' nor anyone else who not listed as a seller into Hall C. If you plan to bring in anyone you MUST list them as a 'seller' even if they are not selling anything. This also includes the end of the event. If you want to have someone help you pack up, you'll need to list them as a 'seller' even if the selling is done when they arrive.
All sellers will receive a "NOMINOICHI 2023" ribbon to attach to their badge as they sign in, please do so immediately. All event staff and sellers MUST wear this ribbon at all times before 7:00. Therefore ONLY listed sellers and our staff will have these ribbons, and only people with ribbons are allowed inside Hall C between 5:00 and 7:00. If you see anyone, (Seller, staff, or volunteer) anywhere without a ribbon you are required to ask to see it. If they do not have one please contact our staff immediately.
Only sellers with this ribbon will be allowed to pass in-and-out of the room before 7:00. Additional ‘helpers’ or 'assistants' who are not listed members of your group are NOT allowed to participate in your set-up or bring in boxes or things for you. They must wait outside, and sellers with a ribbon may travel in and out to collect things from them.
You can only sell things that are on top of the table. You can not sell things from under the table, on a chair, or anywhere else. You may store extra merchandise under or behind the table, but it must be covered. You may hang signs from your table, but you can not display items you intend to sell off the edges of the table. If you want to sell something that is too big to fit on the table top please contact me before the Nominoichi.
The Nominoichi is an "all ages" event. Buyers and sellers will be under 18. However, you may sell ADULT items only if it would be classified as Anime or Manga. You must also follow a few extra rules when selling Adult items:
All sellers please take special note of the following:
The Nominoichi is primarily for the sale of LICENSED ANIME MERCHANDISE of all types. These items must account for half, or more, of all your items for sale. Please observe the ‘50-50’ rule: You must have at least 50% (or MORE) ‘anime’ items and 50% (or LESS) of ALL the ‘other’ category items combined. This rule is in effect for the duration of the Nominoichi, not only at the start. Please be aware of what you are selling at all times and be prepared to either add more anime items, or remove some non-anime items, to maintain the balance of 50-50. If you have sold all of all your ‘anime’ items you may not continue to sell ‘other’ type items.
Furthermore, the percent of items is determined in three ways: number, combined value, and surface area on the table. In all three aspects ‘licensed anime items’ must be more than all ‘other-items’. We have already decided what “other items of fan interest” to allow, and only items from the following 7 predefined categories are permitted: Fantasy, Games, Japanese Culture, Music, Other Animated, SCI-FI, and Super Hero. Therefore selling ANY merchandise that is not directly classified as one, or more, of these seven categories will be a violation of the Nominoichi rules. If you are unsure if an item will be allowed you must email us before the Nominoichi.
Also, if you are selling any used ‘weapons or large props’ that have been to Anime North before, please remove any peace bonds (coloured zip ties) from the items and tell buyers to visit the weapons desk with their new purchases.
You are allowed to eat and drink, we also recommend that you bring some water for yourself, but you are not allowed to sell any food nor drinks.
Although some of the "walls" at the Nominoichi have gaps for ventilation, you are not allowed to go in or out of the event this way. You must go only through the proper entrance and exit.
I encourage you to return to this forum often to read and respond to threads in the Nominoichi section. Although it’s not required, you are certainly welcome to post a list of the items you plan to sell. You must include your table number with any item list. I will also answer questions, and clarify or expand on rules for the Nominoichi there. I also intend to post a MAP of the Nominoichi tables there soon, so you can better understand where to wait and where your table will be.
During the event there will be three Staff Tables located at the end of the aisle nearest to the main entrance: N190, N191, and N192. Should you have any questions; or a problem with a buyer, another seller, or anyone else you should let us know immediately. Also, if anyone forgets something at your table please bring it to the staff table. We are the lost-and-found during the Nominoichi.
Finally please note that the start and end of the event are sounded with one long whistle at 7:00 and 11:00. At any other time during the event if you hear a whistle blow in three short loud bursts, this is a warning that there is an emergency. Should that happen you are required to immediately stop selling and shut up, also make others around you do the same.
If you have any other questions please email me, PM me, or post them here.
Thanks for reading all the way to the end. I look forward to meeting you (and your group) at the Nominoichi XVI.
