This year about half of people who applied for a table were successful in getting one. However, this also means that half of them did not. All full tables are permitted to add one or two additional sellers for a total of three. If you have a full table, and fewer than 3 sellers, please consider if you would like to add another. You could help divide the cost of the table among more sellers, you can have some additional help with setting-up, and you'd have someone to cover you for the occasional toilet break If you HAVE a table, and you are considering adding another seller we encourage you post here with your table number, and perhaps a brief description of what you're selling, so people can see what table would be the best fit for them.
Once you have decided who you'd like to add, please contact me (email or a PM) with your name + table number and the full name + email address of who you wish to add. Please remember: The deadline to add, change, or remove an additional seller is May 15th. After that no further changes can be made. If you do NOT have a table, you do NOT post here.
Any "pick me" posts will be removed. People without a table should read the posts made listed here and, should you see one that you feel would be a good fit with what you have to sell, then send them a PM to discuss details. Finally, This process is entirely optional. As far as we are concerned, either side may abandon any arrangements made at any time. The Nominoichi staff will not intervene in any table sharing disputes, nor will we enforce any table sharing agreements made here. And, as always, if you have any questions please let me know.

The Chris McKenna As someone who has been a seller with a full table for several years previously, and who is on the standby list this year for the first time, I have to say that I found it much more useful for sharing tables when the people who need a table posted 'pick me' posts. When I had a table I never NEEDED to share a table so I never bothered to post here. But if someone had a good sharing offer I would have considered it. I have thought this ever since you put the Seller Only rule in place and always meant to mention it after the con but always ended up forgetting since I was so busy selling on the forum. As someone who is on the other side now the feeling of helplessness when you were depending on a table really sucks.

In the end it’s up to the seller if they want to share a table and with whom. So why not have ppl, who are looking for a table post it.

Yeah, it used to be that way and it may have been a bit of a mess but I preferred it and actually did share my table one year. I don't know why they made it sellers only. I am highly tempted to start DM'ing people who have table posts since people rarely post in this thread from my experience and I feel like it might be my only chance. Nomi pays for my con experience.

Last year we had 4 tables who were willing to share. teahousemaplemoon.proboards.com/post/89771/threadThis thread isn't just for sellers who NEED to share, it is also for any seller who is even thinking about sharing their table. We continue to encourage every table with less than 3 people to strongly consider sharing, and to post here if they are interested.

We continue to encourage every table with less than 3 people to strongly consider sharing, and to post here if they are interested. That is a pathetically small number. In 2019 when you didn't police who could post at least 10 people found tables and that's just going by the people who had confirmed in the thread to finding a table. 2022 this wasn't as issue since there were so few people and last year you made the change and there was barely any response.

One of the reasons we made the change was as a result of the very difficult time moderating that thread in 2019. Many people who did not have a table, but they wanted one, would post lists of what they wanted to sell and could offer. We would get report after report of this and those posts were removed as they are in direct violation of rule 3. This has not been an issue since we made the change.
Another way to look at it is, in 2019 only 2 people with a table posted that they were looking for someone. By last year that number had doubled to 4. I remain hopeful that it will increase again this year, but time will tell.
Additionally, we continue to welcome ideas on how to encourage more sellers to offer their table here in the future.

I'd like to chime in as a seller to say that it seems much easier to look at who needs table space than it is to say I have it. As a seller, I don't know who, if anyone, is looking. I don't know what their needs are and if I could potentially meet those needs. I don't want to say that I have space at my table only to reject a bunch of people asking because it turns out they need more space than I can provide, or I'm in a section that wouldn't give them good exposure for what they're selling, or whatever other reason. I would much rather be able to check out a list of who needs space, how much, and an idea of what they've got so I can decide if sharing my table would be the right call.
If moderation is an issue, get more people involved in moderation or enforce stricter penalties; I'm sure there are plenty of people who would be happy to help.

I will also chime in as a seller who posted in the thread last year saying I had space, I got over a dozen PMs from desperate people because I was the first one who posted (I think) and having to message that many people out of courtesy just to let them know I wasn’t picking them felt terrible. I would have much rather privately messaged someone who I chose to share with than gotten the hopes up of ten more.
I was lucky to get a share this year but I don’t want to imagine the stress of sending an inquiry to a person offering space knowing how many others are fighting for it.
It seems like a simple solution of allowing people to post that they’re looking for a table but making a rule prohibiting posts of specific goods for sale.
I hope this contributes in some way!

I think a lot of good discussion has been posted, but I also don't think it's going to change any minds.

I think a lot of good discussion has been posted, but I also don't think it's going to change any minds. Yeah, this very much seems like "we'll take ideas on how to do what we want, but we'll continue to ignore other ideas that aren't that". Not a good look imo.

Table N273
Edit for April 24: have added my seller, thank you for the interest!
Edited to add: full table, but will likely be registering a support person
Hi everyone! I am a seller with plus size cosplay and lots of "other" category stuff to sell looking to pair up with another cosplay or anime heavy seller.
I am happy to discuss more details with you!
