Lines open up at 1pm.
I'm coordinating 8 (possibly 9) of us going together and sharing 2 rooms between us all, so my section of the convoy is planning to arrive first at 12pm, pay for the room and arrange for everyone else to be able to pick up hotel keys as they arrive (as most hotels won't have rooms ready until anywhere from 1-4pm), then head out to the registration line.

Great suggestions everyone!
This is my fourth year at the Nomi, and you have probably already all said what I would suggest!
I would suggest, like shance said, to have a list of everything and cross it off. I also have a separate list for reserved items and the cost we agreed on, to make sure everything is organized!
A thing I have decided to do this year is actually to wear a fanny pack, or if I cant find that an apron. I found that having such a huge amount of cash was VERY nerve-wracking, so having it attached to me is much better.

I found that having such a huge amount of cash was VERY nerve-wracking, so having it attached to me is much better. Excellent point too. I'm in the middle of deciding how best to manage the money too, whether I go for a fanny pack or keep stashing it inside the locked pouch on my suitcase. I have no worries or fear about the value, but the amount of bills - and possibly coins too - will be difficult to handle. The stack of $5s and $10s I have prepared is already too much for Chopper-san to handle! (my wallet)
